Hey, I'm Jodi!
I am a self taught artist (I can't remember a time I wasn't creating), located in the Saskatchewan prairies.
I draw my inspiration for my artwork from the beauty of the natural world around me. Farm animals, wildlife, country living, and those gorgeous Saskatchewan skies (that's why they call it the Land of the Living Skies over here). I believe there is so much beauty and wonder found all around us, all we have to do is simply look around us and view it.
Art has always been a part of my life and has helped me in the many different seasons of my life. Art keeps me grounded, it is what I lean to when I'm at my lowest. Creating art helps remind me in my toughest of times, that there is always marvel, wonder, and beauty around us. The world is such a vibrant place we live in, and there are so many wonderful things to witness. Even when our views are cloudy, our thoughts are stormed over, there is still beauty and light within those storms.
By making art, I am reminded that the skies aren't always grey.
